Summer of '09

E-mail Print PDF

I have been lax in my updating this summer due to various reasons most important of which is that we've been busy having fun!  And getting settled back in our old "new" home.  From reconnecting with old friends to visiting with old friends to meeting new friends to visits from and with family to almost daily visits to the dog park and pool days and lazy daze and hikes and soccer and dance and fishing, we've been lovin' life.

We are now very settled and very happy and everyone is doing great.  I am now earnestly on the job hunt now that summer is over and I can really focus.  I will be substitute teaching to keep myself busy in the mean time and exploring temporary or contract work.  Marcia is loving her job although still re-adjusting to the set schedule of a corporate job.  She is getting great experience and loves all the people she works with.

Bella has been invited to do dance company this year is VERY happy about that.  She was born to dance and often disappears to her room to crank current pop hits and dance her little butt off.  She'll come out after an hour and show a new move that it doesn't seem natural for a 7 year old to do.  Melissa is playing travel soccer and really loves her team and her coach.  She is really growing already this year and we are very excited about the season to come.  With her soccer schedule and Bella's dance schedule, we are about to start a VERY busy year!

Trip to Visit the Sommers

E-mail Print PDF

We spent our 4th of July weekend and 10th Anniversary with some of our favorite people the Sommers in Suffern, New York.  It was a great trip!  We all had fun and the girls got to experience all kinds of fun, new things.  They not only got to go to New York city for the first time but they also got to experience the Naked Cowgirl and Cowboy (see the pictures), watch Mommy and Wendy get interviewed by Fox News, be in a documentary about a resource war in the Congo related to the contents of cell phones, go kayaking, swim in a lake (yes, first time on that one), and probably other things I don't know about.
