Bella has been taking various styles of dance since she was two years old. This year she decided to take ballet. Her studio, Miller Street, put on a production of The Nutcracker on Saturday night. Bella has been practicing and rehearsing for weeks.
One of the lead dancers was a contestant on "So You Think You Can Dance" and a few of the other leads hold Mr./Miss Dance titles.
She had a cast party last Friday night which was very exciting for her. She picked out and wore the dark aqua, sparkly dress.
We weren't able to get any photos of the performance but will get some from the photographer soon. For now, here is an album of some of the moments of the last week.
Melissa and her soccer team, the Cheetahs, had a Fall soccer tournament the weekend of November 15-16. They played really well! They ended up going to the finals but lost 3-1. They got a very nice 2nd place medal.
Given that her team has been together for just one season now, I think they have done very well overall. They came in 3rd for the season in the league but very close to 2nd. They also had that early tournament that they ended up getting 2nd in as well.
My telephoto is broken so right now I can only shoot with a 35mm. Hopefully that will get rectified at Christmas. :) Melissa is the one with the dark pants on under her shorts in these photos.
Bella celebrated her 7th birthday on November 1st. She had a party at the house on the 7th. It was a KidsArt party and they all drew pictures of a horse.
